About Us, The NÜYÜ Group:
Nüyü is a close-knit community of researchers who study the well being of adolescents. We are inspired by Community Problem Solving, an organization from FPSPI (Future Problem Solving Program International). Our hope is to improve the world through research and study to find out why middle school students suffer socially, emotionally, and academically in their everyday lives. Through this site, we bring you many strategies to help find your inner self and manage stress, decrease procrastination, create powerful friendships, and make wiser decisions.
Educators and students, please take a look at the other pages to discover new tips about how to become a more efficient, organized, and productive person.

Area of Concern: “Whole child. Every child” is the mission statement of our school district, but many of us as students only focus on academics and we are really stressed out. Last year, our school district underwent an internal and external review of our Gifted and Talented program. The data was analyzed and reported to the entire district. Our students are feeling unhealthy levels of stress. This came as no surprise to our team members. Though teachers and parents mean well when they tell us not to be stressed out, our CmPS team realized that most students do not have enough healthy coping strategies when dealing with the enormous pressures we are under academically and socially. The district research and our own CmPS survey data indicated that our initial suspicions were correct. At the same time, our survey data of teachers showed us that the teachers do not have much training in helping stressed out teens. Therefore, our goal is to help teach students, parents, and teachers more effective coping strategies for stress reduction and empower the school community with the necessary social-emotional support to be successful in and out of school.
